Yes, Unwired's wireless internet plans are designed to be simple and flexible. You may change plans once during your billing month, however this plan change will take effect within one hour of your request in most instances, as opposed to on your next billing date. You may change up or down a plan, however you may only select a lower usage plan if you have not yet exceeded that usage amount for the month. The charges for each of the plans will be pro-rated according to the days on each plan. You will receive a credit or debit on your next bill for the difference in plan charges, for the remaining days of your billing month. If you have already changed plans once during your billing month, you must wait until your anniversary date to change plans once again. Please be aware that the contract terms for your original Unwired plan will stay with you if you switch to another plan.

There are a number of plans available from Unwired and each offer different monthly usage allowances before your connection speed is reduced.
Unwired count both upload and download data towards your monthly usage allowance for all Casual, Frequent and Heavy Duty User Plans. The usage allowance of these plans is split into Peak and Off-Peak components. The Peak period starts at 2pm and ends at 2am on the next day. The Off-Peak period begins at 2am and ends at 2pm on the same day. Once you have used up your allowance in either the Peak or Off-Peak periods, your speed will be reduced to the throttled speed until your next billing period. You may check your usage in the 'My Account' section of the website.
For all other plans, Unwired may count just download data only toward your monthly usage allowance.
All plans are reduced to a throttled speed of 32kbps when your usage allowance has been reached. Please refer to the plans & pricing section of the website for more information.

Unwired Broadband has all the benefits of traditional broadband such as high speed, no need for a second phone line and the convenience of being 'always on'. Unwired Broadband goes one step further as it's priced about the same as current ADSL/ Cable products, there is no installation required, it's incredibly easy to setup in under 5 minutes, and there is no waiting for your account to be created. Better still, because it's a wireless connection with no cables, you can use your modem anywhere within the Greater Sydney coverage area at no extra charge. So with Unwired Broadband you can take you broadband with you and enjoy the benefits of high speed internet access wherever and whenever you need it.
-
Unwired Wireless Broadband plans offer speeds of up to 1MBps, however your individual speed is dependent on the plan you have chosen. The plans identify download and upload speeds 'up to' a particular value. This is because unlike DSL, wireless broadband is not a fixed speed. It is more similar to the cable network which delivers a speed dependent on a number of factors. For more information on the plans and respective speeds on offer from Unwired, please refer to the Unwired website.

Unwired's On Hold plan allows you to temporarily suspend your Unwired service, for when you know you're not going to need it
-
If you are travelling, having a break, or your computer has broken down, the On Hold plan is a great way to make sure you are not paying for something you won't use, while getting to keep your uMail and other services active.
-
To place your Unwired service On Hold, simply go to the 'My Account' section of our website, and select 'On Hold' in the 'Change your plan' option.
-
After you have been On Hold for one month or more, you can choose a new service plan by either going to 'My Account' from another internet connection, or simply by opening up a browser window on your home PC while connected to the Unwired Modem. You will automatically be redirected to a page that allows you to change your plan instantly.
-
You can still use any additional services you have been paying for previous to changing to the On Hold plan, but you'll need to access these from a connection other than your Unwired modem.
-
You can choose to stay on the On Hold plan for a minimum of one month and a maximum of six months. Should you remain On Hold for longer than six months, you will automatically be put back on the plan you were on prior to going On Hold. You can only place your service On Hold on two occasions per calendar year. For example, if you place your account On Hold in December and take it off hold in January the next year, this will be counted as one use of the On Hold plan in both years.
-
Your contract will be extended to include the time your service will have been On Hold. For example, should you change to the On Hold plan after 8 months on a 12 month contract, at the point of changing out of your On Hold plan, you will still have 4 months remaining.
